Hi, I’m Jenn.
I’ve been a designer for more than 20 years, and I’ve never really stopped being curious about how things work or how they could work better.
A little more
I started my career in visual and graphic design, which gave me a strong foundation in typography, hierarchy, storytelling and communication. Over the last six years, my work has shifted into product and UX design, where I’ve found that those same skills are incredibly useful when the thing you’re trying to communicate happens to be a very complicated piece of software.
I’ve worked across aviation, healthcare, enterprise software, travel, insurance, and digital and visual design, designing everything from flight planning and map-based tools to aircraft maintenance dashboards, healthcare platforms, email campaigns, social graphics and even a Times Square billboard.
The common thread is complexity.
I like learning complicated systems, understanding how people actually use them, and finding ways to make the experience clearer and more straightforward.

How I work
I’m happiest when I’m hands-on.
That might mean talking with users and subject matter experts, mapping a workflow, sketching ideas, building a prototype, testing it, designing the final UI or working with developers to figure out how something should actually work.

Ask a lot of questions
I’m collaborative, curious and comfortable asking a lot of questions. I’ve worked as the sole designer on a team, alongside other designers, and closely with product managers, engineers and highly specialized subject matter experts.
Still learning
After 20+ years, I’m still learning. That’s a big part of why I still love doing this.
One of the things I love about design is that the tools never stop changing.
Recently I’ve been exploring how AI can become part of my design workflow, including research, synthesis, prototyping and building ideas more quickly.
I’m also continuing to experiment with motion, Figma, code and new ways of moving from an idea to something real.

I’m usually spending time with my family, learning something new, working on one of the many side projects I somehow talk myself into, or playing Fortnite. I’m based in Colorado.
